Hi thank you for the recipe. It was delicious. But how did they stay in shape? Mine wouldn''t stay in shape and they weren''t that firm. I didn''t even add any water.

Tarla Dalal    Make sure you haven''t used over boiled potatoes as that could be one reason. Another, make sure you have used enough oil to cook the tikkis and not less. The tikkis will be slightly soft and not much.

Do you think that the potatoes could be replaced with cauliflower in this recipe?

Tarla Dalal    Hi Susan, Yes you can try with blanched and chopped cauliflower, but you might need some binding so add some flour.

I had never made 'Aloo Tikkis' at home before thanks to all the ready-to-eat stuff available at the supermarkets now-a-days! But when I came across this recipe, I found it rather easy and tried my hand at it as a healthier alternative. The tikkis turned out beautifully soft and sumptuous! Use a non-stick to make sure the bottom surface does not stick to the pan! Serve it with mustard, its lip smacking! :)
