    1. what is thick curd made off? healthy Indian curd dip is made from 3/4 cup hung curds (chakka dahi), 2 tbsp chopped onions, 1 tsp chopped green chillies, 1/2 tsp mustard (rai / sarson) powder and salt to taste.

    1. First step to make hung curd | how to make hung curd | chakka dahi | homemade hung curd  is to take a deep bowl or patila and place a strainer over it. 
    2. Place a clean and dry muslin cloth over the bowl. You can also use a thin cheesecloth for this purpose.
    3. Put 2 cups curd in the strainer. We have used thick curd made of full fat milk. You can buy the curd from a store or you can learn how to make curd with full fat milk. Make sure that the curd is fresh and not sour.
    4. Learn how to make hung curd in detail. This dip makes use of 3/4 cup of hung curd, so you can begin with 1 1/2 cups of curd (to get 3/4 cup of hung curd) or you can use the remaining 1/4 cup of hung curd later.

    2. Add 2 tbsp chopped onions.

    6. Mix well.

    1. Though we have used hung curd to make this dip, but when you are short of time you can use thick curd. 
    2. If you don’t have mustard powder, replace it with cumin seeds powder or black pepper powder. 
    3. Serve yoghurt dip with onions and green chillies with ragi and oats crackers.
    4. Serve thick curd dip | healthy Indian curd dip | yoghurt dip with onions and green chillies | with cream crackers.

Perfect healthy recipe. Curds have the right and healthy fats and i have this with chopped carrots, cucumber or celery sticks.
