Peanut Ladoo Recipe | quick peanut ladoo | Indian Festival Dessert |

Peanut Ladoo is a quick and easy Indian festival dessert that brings together the warm, nutty flavor of roasted peanuts, the richness of ghee, and the sweetness of powdered sugar. This simple yet irresistible sweet treat is loved across generations for its rustic charm and melt-in-the-mouth texture. Made with just a handful of ingredients, Peanut Ladoo is perfect for festive celebrations, tea-time indulgence, or as a healthy snack to satisfy sudden sweet cravings.

To start, raw peanuts are roasted in a broad non-stick pan for about 7 minutes, until they turn aromatic and slightly golden. Roasting enhances their flavor and makes it easier to remove the skins. Once cooled, the peanuts are deskinnedand coarsely ground in a mixer. The coarse texture gives the ladoos a delightful crunch, setting them apart from other Indian sweets.

In the next step, ghee is heated in a pan, and the crushed peanuts are added to it. This mixture is cooked briefly to release the nutty aroma and deepen the flavor. The addition of powdered sugar and cardamom powder brings a perfect balance of sweetness and aroma. The cardamom lends a subtle, traditional fragrance that complements the richness of peanuts and ghee beautifully.

Once the mixture thickens slightly, a touch more ghee is added to bring everything together. The warm mixture is transferred onto a plate and allowed to cool just enough to handle. It is then divided into small portions and rolled into smooth, round ladoo balls. Refrigerating them for about 15 minutes helps set their shape, giving you perfectly firm and glossy ladoos.

These Peanut Ladoos are best served fresh but can also be stored in an airtight container for a few days, making them a convenient make-ahead dessert. They are ideal for festivals like Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, or Navratri, when traditional sweets are a must-have. The simplicity of this recipe makes it a favorite among home cooks — no complicated syrup or long cooking time, just pure homemade goodness in every bite.

What makes this quick peanut ladoo truly special is its authentic Indian flavor and nutrient-rich ingredients. The ghee adds a silky smoothness, the peanuts provide protein and healthy fats, and the cardamom enhances the festive aroma. Whether you make it as a festive dessert, a quick after-school snack, or a last-minute sweet for guests, Peanut Ladoo is sure to delight everyone with its wholesome taste and traditional charm.
