Ingredients


For Palak Paneer Roti
1/2 cup finely chopped spinach (palak)
5 tbsp fresh crumbled paneer (cottage cheese)
5 tbsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
5 tbsp ragi (nachni / red millet) flour
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
rice flour (chawal ka atta) for rolling
oil for cooking

For Serving With Palak Paneer Roti
fresh curd (dahi)

Method

For palak paneer roti

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}palak paneer roti{/span}, combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into soft dough, using enough warm water.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of 100 mm (4") diameter, using a little rice flour for rolling.
  3. Cook each roti on a hot non-stick tava (griddle), using a little oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both sides.
  4. Serve the {span class="bold1"}palak paneer roti{/span} hot with fresh curds.
