Ingredients
For Onion Bread Pakoda
To Be Mixed Into Bhajia Mixture
3 cups thinly sliced onions
1 cup besan (Bengal gram flour)
1/4 cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
2 tsp ginger (adrak)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp chaat masala
1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
3 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
1/2 cup water

For onion bread pakoda
- To make onion bread pakoda, combine all the ingredients for the bhajia mixture along with ½ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well using your hands.
- Take a bread slice and cut it into 2 diagonally. Apply the bhajia mixture on each halve of the bread.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry 2 to 3 onion bread pakodas at a time.
- Deep fry them on a medium flame until golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Serve the onion bread pakoda with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
