This feels very much like chaas (buttermilk) but little thicker. My only confusion here is that in the main description you have mentioned that milk & curd is mixed and milk is also mentioned in the ingredients. But in the step-to-step recipe with photos, water is replaced by milk. Please clear as to which recipe is best.

Tarla Dalal    Sorry, this recipe is in update phase and be fixed very soon. Follow step by step where no milk is used. I would suggest adding the garlic as it tastes awesome.

It is pretty much chaas just that its much thicker! so its basically non sweet lassi with a nice throw of ginger! nice!! :)
