Recipe Description for Green Moong Curry
- To make {span class="bold1"}green moong curry recipe{/span}, combine soaked moong, ¼ tsp of turmeric powder, salt and 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker.
- Pressure cook it on a medium flame for 2 whistles. Allow the steam to escape and then open the lid. Keep aside.
- Heat oil and ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, onions and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add green chillies, ginger garlic paste and mix well. Add the tomatoes and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the remaining turmeric powder, malvani masala, coriander cumin seeds powder and garam masala. Mix well.
- Add the cooked moong, salt to taste and 1/2 cup of hot water to adjust the consistency.
- Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 8 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
