Tarla Dalal    Hi Simarjit, The batter may be not right in consistency or the oven may be not pre heated well.

Tarla Dalal    This recipe has been tried and tested in our kitchen twice. Oven to oven baking time and temperature differs, so you can try by reducing the baking time to 20 to 25 minutes. Also make sure you have used the exact size of tin as that also leads to a raw or a burnt cake.

Hello Mam, It came out very well. Tried multiple times earlier and nothing worked out. Your recipe is awesome!! Only one concern is it did not get cook in the centre of the cake. So I had to piece them and rebake the uncooked one. Any help on this to do it better next time.

Tarla Dalal    Hi Jasmine, Make sure the temp you bake at is correct and the track where you place the cake is also right, it should be on a middle rack.

Ma''am can I use refine oil instead of butter
| Hide Replies
Tarla Dalal    If you want to make this with oil , use this below recipe http://www.tarladalal.com/Eggless-Vanilla--Cake-Using-Oil-(-Cakes-and-Pastries-)-33314r and if you want to use the same recipe with eggs but in oil then you can replace butter with oil and try, we have not tried it.
