could you please share why water is added to the halwa recipe, can I omit the water and add milk only

Tarla aunty me bachpan se mere gharme aapka naam sunti aayi hun, meri badi didi aapki recipe book hamesha follow karti this.Didi jab aapki Sindhai mirchi ki sabji banati thi to sab ungliyan chaat jatethe. Ash bhi aapki book he didi k pas or wo nayi nayi dishes banati rahetihe.

I tried this recipe it is lil different from the one I know and my privilege to share the positive feedback here. it is not very heavy on the palate. must try. your site is boon for the young girls who wants to cook traditional dishes without going wrong. many thanks

Hi..cam we use jaggery instead of sugar? and any other substitute for milk?
