I tried the recipe. Pre hit the microwave in convection mode in 180°C for 3 minutes, and then put the batter in tin and place it over the stand (on turntable). Then put the microwave in convection mode in 180°C for 30 minutes. But after the clock come down from 30:00 to 28:08, clock stops but turntable was rounding till for few minutes and then it was stopped showing END. Cake was burnt on the top but unprepared totally. Later I baked in glass bowl in microwave mode for 6 minutes, but still was not eatable easily. What did I make wrong?

Tarla Dalal    Hi, Try baking at a lower temperature at 160 degree for 25 minutes. And also check the quantity of batter.

Tarla Dalal    Hi, while hot you may feel it crisp. Allow it cool down completely.

Hi. if I want to make the cake a little more sweet, so should I use one cup condense milk or should I reduce quantity of flour and will the quantity of soda and baking powder remain same in that case

Tarla Dalal    Hi Namrata, If you want the cake to be little sweeter add another 1/4 cup of condensed milk.

Mam, can we use wheat flour instead of all purpose flour ?

Tarla Dalal    Hi Monali, We have not tried it. You can try but, the texture will surely differ as wheat flour is denser than maida.
