Whole Wheat, Walnut and Raisin Cookies

My cookies seemed to be a little hard after baking even though I followed the recipe exactly as it was. What can I do about it?

Tarla Dalal    Hi Neha, This is a tried recipe. There may be a few reasons why your cookies may have turned hard like 1. the oven may not have been pre-heated well 2. You might have over baked them, bake them on the middle shelf. 3. Make sure the thickness is as mentioned of the cookies. Do try it again and let us know your feedback.

Can i use ghee instead of butter? And how long does this cookies stay fresh?

Tarla Dalal    Hi Jasleen, we would suggest you use only butter and not ghee...The cookies will stay fresh for atleast 3 to 4 days.... Do try it and let us know how you enjoyed them.. Happy Cooking !!
