Ingredients


For The Cutlets
1 1/2 cups boiled , peeled and mashed potatoes
2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp cornflour
salt to taste
oil for greasing and cooking

For The Tomato Sauce
2 cups roughly chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp tomato ketchup
1/2 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste

Other Ingredients
1/2 cup boiled spaghetti

Method

For the cutlets

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and roll each portion into a cutlet.
  3. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle), grease it with oil and cook the cutlets using a little oil till they turn golden brown in colour from both the sides. Keep aside.

For the tomato sauce

  1. Combine the tomatoes with ¼ cup of water in a broad non-stick pan and cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes or till the tomatoes are soft.
  2. Allow them to cool and blend in a mixer to a smooth mixture.
  3. Strain the mixture with the help of a strainer and transfer to a non-stick pan.
  4. Add the sugar, tomato ketchup, chilli powder and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Keep aside.

How to proceed

  1. Take a serving plate, put the cutlets on it, pour the sauce over it and finally put the spaghetti evenly over it and serve immediately.
