Nothing can beat the zingy, energizing effect of a fizzy glass of fresh lime soda. Perked up with cumin powder and a few sprigs of mint, this peppy glassful is ideal to have on a hot summer’s day. Finely chopped mint leaves lends a very good mouthfeel.

 

To make sweet lime soda, combine all the ingredients ( lemonade, lemon juice, powdered sugar, mint leaves, cumin seeds and black salt) in a deep bowl and mix gently. Pour equal quantities of the drink into 2 individual glasses. Serve Indian style lime soda immediately garnished with lemon slices.

 


Sweet lemon soda is also an appetizing drink served at the beginning of a meal. Some enjoy it post meal as a digestive aid too. Tips for sweet lime soda. 1. Make sure the lemonade is nice and chill because you cannot refrigerate this drink after preparation. 2. Also, mix the ingredients slowly and gently as that will help retain the fizz. 3. Most restaurants serve it with a stirrer to keep mixing the lemon slice and mint. You can serve it too for a true appealing feel.
