For eggless jeera biscuits- To make jeera cookies, in a bowl add butter and whisk well until light and fluffy.
- Add in wheat flour, roasted jeera, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix well using your fingertips to get the crumbly mixture.
- Add milk and knead into a semi-soft dough.
- Make a cylindrical shape roll and wrap in cling wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Remove the cling wrap, cut into 12 equal thick slices.
- Place the cookies on a lined baking tray and sprinkle little cumin seeds over the cookies.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 20 minutes.
- Remove and cool completely. Store the jeera cookies in an air-tight container and use as required.
