To make nimbu paani, in a bowl take some lemon juice, add powdered sugar. You can also use grained sugar but we have used powdered sugar as it dissolves faster. Further, add black salt and cumin seed powder. Cumin seed powder gives a nice subtle flavor to the shikanji. Next, add salt, chilled water and stir well. Your nimbu pani is ready to be served.

  1. To make nimbu pani, combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and mix well.
  2. Add 4 cups of chilled water and mix well.

If using grain sugar, use hot water to dissolve sugar fast. In the end, the ice cubes will chill the beverage anyways.

Nimbu paani.. one of my all time favourite drink.. The taste is just to perfection.. with khatta, meetha and salt.. I made this for my guests.. and they had just loved this drink.. I often make this drink.. when i come home after a tiring day.. as it is very very refreshing..
