Eating a fresh fruit salad steeped in fruit juice can be wonderful dessert idea. Do not peel the apples to retain the soluble fibre (pectin) that lies just beneath the skin and helps to remove bad cholesterol from the body.
Main procedure- Mix the chopped fruits and the pineapple juice in a serving bowl and refrigerate
- Serve chilled.
- A purée of fruits like green melons, watermelons, papayas and apples can be used instead of pineapple juice.
- Get creative: Add ingredients like chaat masala, amchur (dry mango powder) or chopped mint (phudina) leaves to add zest to the fruit bowl.
