I feared this may be bitter, but I made tomato sambar tonight and it was not bitter at all. Quite delicious in fact. I will be making this again.

I have never made this before so have nothing to compare with. I was very careful not to burn anything, but I do wonder if the turmeric was added too soon? I tasted the powder and it tastes very bitter to me. Perhaps it is meant to be bitter? I''ll have to wait until I''ve tried it in a recipe.
