The mouthwatering fruit flavoured banana halwa is a simple and quick sweet dish prepared from mashed ripe bananas, and crushed dried fruits cooked with sugar and spices like cardamom. A delicious dessert dish which can be also served as a sweet snack.
Instructions- Heat 3 tablespoons of ghee in a heavy pan. add sugar alongwith the bananas and cook gently over low heat. stir to prevent the mixture sticking.
- Keep adding a little of the remaining ghee, until all the moisture evaporated and the mixture become golden and sticky.
- Add the nutmeg and the cardamom, remove from heat when the halwa leaves sides of the pan. do not overcook.
- Spread the halwa into a deep, large plate. allow it to cool and cut into squares.
