Roasted and chopped pistachios
Take a sharp knife and then cut it into half from the centre. Cut the half portion into another half and remove the seeds from centre. Chop ingredients by cutting them in small pieces approximately ¼ inch in diameter, although the chopped food doesn't need to be exactly the same size. If the recipe calls for the ingredients to be "coarsely chopped," make the pieces slightly larger.

Roasted salted pistachios
Pistachios can be roasted as well as salt can be added as preferred. In a pan, on a medium flame roast the pistachios after removing them from the shell. Roast till light brown in colour; add salt as per the taste.

Roasted and powdered pistachios
Roasted pistachios can be powdered finely or coarsely as per one's choice. Coarsely grinded are best used in making masala milk while finely powdered are often used stuffed in sweet preparations.

How to Select
Roasted Pistachios are available in shell as well as without shell. It's always ideal to purchase the one with shells for its long shelf life. Buy it from a well known shop and confirm on its freshness.

How to Store
Always advisable to buy in small quantities and store it in an air tight container. It will stay firm and crisp in refrigerator, for 3 months.

" It has all the benefits of Pistachios except for the fact that the Roasted salted pistachios contains salt. Salt adds the taste but also brings sodium in it. Moderate consumption is fine but excess or liberal intake can cause harm
" Hypertensive and obese people have to be alert before eating salted pistachios.
