Thick, cheese-loaded spinach fondue goes great with toasted croutons. Add white wine to further enhance the taste. Quick and easy to make.

Ingredients


1 1/2 cups chopped spinach (palak)
1/4 cup white wine (optional) or water
1 cup fresh cream
1/2 cup processed cheese
2 tbsp cornflour dissolved in 1/4 cup of water
salt and to taste

For Serving
cheesy bread strips

Method
  1. Steam the spinach leaves. Squeeze out the water and blend the in a mixer to a smooth purée.
  2. Pour into a saucepan, add all the remaining ingredients and cook on a low flame while stirring continuously till the mixture becomes thick.
  3. Add salt and pepper, mix well and pour into a fondue pot.
  4. Serve with cheesy bread strips.

Spinach and cheese combine to give a nice thick rich fondue. I love spinach and having it in my fondue was just great.
