Penne tossed together with spinach and the low fat cheese sauce is sure to delight your palate. The cheese in this recipe has been replaced by low calories white sauce and so this main course offers a guilt free meal for the healthy heart.

Ingredients


1 cup cooked penne
1 cup blanched and chopped spinach (palak)
1/4 cup chopped onions
1 tsp garlic (lehsun) , chopped
1 recipe low calorie white sauce
a pinch of nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
1 tsp oil or
salt to taste

Method
  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, add the onions and garlic and cook till the onions are translucent.
  2. Add the spinach and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the penne, low calorie white sauce , nutmeg powder and salt and allow it to come to a boil. Add some water if required, to adjust the consistency. Serve immediately.
