Ingredients

50 gms paneer (cottage cheese)
1 cup chopped spinach (palak)
2 medium sized onions
2 medium sized tomatoes
1 tsp cornflour
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
oil for deep frying and cooking

Method
  1. Combine the paneer with spinach, salt and cornflour and mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into equal sized balls.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the koftas till they turn golden and crisp from all the sides.
  4. For the gravy, combine the onions and tomatoes and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  5. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add the paste and the remaining ingredients, mix well and saute for 2 minutes.
  6. Just before serving, add the koftas and mix well.
  7. Serve hot garnished with fresh cream.
