Moderately spiced mushrooms and paneer make an excellent cocktail snack combination.

Ingredients


200 gms (1 packet) fresh button mushrooms (khumbh)
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste

To be mixed into a stuffing
100 gms finely mashed paneer (cottage cheese)
1 tbsp chopped corriander (dhania)
1 green chilli, chopped
2 pinches of sugar
a few raisins (kismis)
salt to taste

For the topping
tabasco sauce or capsico sauce

Method
  1. Wash the mushrooms and take out the thick stems. Put them in hot water for 2 minutes. Drain.
  2. Fill the mushrooms with the stuffing.
  3. When you want to serve, heat the oil in a tava and cook the mushrooms for 2 minutes. Add salt. Top with a few drops of Tabasco or Capsico sauce.
  4. Serve hot.
