Mushrooms On Toast

Combining the moist, subtle flavour of mushrooms with the tang of garlic and capsicum…. Make a light meal out of it, a snack, or simply an appetizer.

Ingredients

2 cups chopped mushrooms (khumbh)
2 tbsp oil
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 to 3 garlic (lehsun) cloves , crushed
2 tbsp chopped capsicum (red , yellowand green)
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp chilli sauce
2 tbsp grated processed cheese
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
6 slices bread , toasted

Method
  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the onions and sauté till they turn golden brown.
  2. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Add the capcium, garam masala and chilli sauce and sauté for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the mushrooms and sauté till the mushrooms are cooked.
  5. Remove from the flame, add the cheese, coriander and salt and mix well.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly on toasts and serve hot.
