Thickly grated radish is perked up by the addition of an unusual combination of ingredients like garlic, mustard seeds and lemon juice. This makes a tongue tickling dish that is low in calories and carbohydrates and so is a perfect accompaniment to a main course like khichdi or parathas.

Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients and allow them to marinate for at least an hour.
  2. Cover and refrigerate.
  3. Serve chilled.

Tips
  1. Radish emits a strong odour.
  2. Remember to cover the bowl tightly and or plastic wrap so that the other foods in the refrigerator do not smell like radish too.

I love raddish and this chilled salad tastes great with the adding of garlic, lemon juice for its tanginess and green chilli for that little spice.
