Ingredients


For The Toast
toasted brown bread or white pieces

For The Topping
3 tbsp grated processed cheese
tabasco sauce (optional)

For The Spinach Stuffing
3 cups chopped spinach (palak)
1 onion , chopped
2 green chillies , chopped
a pinch soda bi carb
3/4 cup milk
1 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp butter
salt to taste

Method
For the spinach stuffing

  1. For the butter and fry the onion for 1/2 minute. Add the green chillies and fry again for a few seconds.
  2. Add the spinach and soda bi-carb and cook for 2 minutes. Drain.
  3. Mix the milk with the cornflour. Add to the mixture and cook until the mixture becomes thick. Add salt.

How to proceed

  1. Spread a little spinach mixture on each toast piece.
  2. Sprinkle some grated cheese on top.
  3. Grill in a hot oven at 200 degree c (400 degree f) for a few minutes.

Tips
  1. Serve hot with Tabasco sauce.
