Experience the authentic spicy Malwani cuisine with this delicious Chicken malwani recipe. Typically paired with rice bhakris or rotis , the malwani chicken is superb in taste, appealing in looks and quite simple to prepare.

  1. Put oil on a tawa. add jeera, coconut, onion, kashmiri chillies and dhania seeds, garam masala and roast them till they turn golden brown.
  2. Grind this masala with a little water and keep aside.
  3. Boil chicken in some water for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a separate pan and add the masala and fry till the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add boiled chicken with the water, salt and tomatoes and cook on low flame until the chicken is tender.
  6. Add water if gravy is thick, then add tamarind pulp and cook for two minutes. serve hot
