Cabbage Apple Pineapple Cole Slaw

A tasty variation of the traditional cole slaw.

450 gms cabbage
4 red apples
4 sticks celery (ajmoda)
1 small can (450 grams) pineapple slices
10 to 12 marshmellows
1 recipe Salad Cream
salt and sugar to taste

For decoration
lettuce leaves
grated carrot

  1. Drain the pineapple slices and keep aside the syrup. Chop the pineapple slices into small pieces.
  2. Cut the marshmallows with scissors into four pieces each and soak the pieces in the pineapple syrup for 30 minutes.
  3. Chop the cabbage finely and keep in ice-cold water for 15 minutes.
  4. Cut the apples (with the skin inact) into cubes.
  5. Chop the celery.
  6. Mix the cabbage, apple, pineapple, celery and marshmallows. Add the salald cream, salt and sugar and put to chill.
  7. Serve ice-cold on a bed of lettuce surrounded by grated carrots.
