Broccoli, Bean Sprouts and Green Peas Salad ( Healthy Salad Recipe)

A combination of antioxidant and fibre rich greens like broccoli and green peas with bean sprouts is an asset for weight-watchers. The sesame seeds add a unique taste to the salad.

Ingredients

1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup bean sprouts
1/2 cup green peas
3/4 cup chopped spring onions

To Be Mixed Into A Dressing
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp powdered sugar
1/4 tsp pepper powder
salt to taste

For The Garnish
2 tsp roasted sesame seeds (til)

Method
  1. Put plenty of water to boil with salt. Add the broccoli and cook for 5 minutes. Drain and put immediately in cold water for 10 to 15 minutes. Drain thoroughly.
  2. Cook the green peas in boiling salted water for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain and put immediately in cold water for at least half an hour. Drain thoroughly.
  3. Combine the broccoli, green peas, beans sprouts and spring onions in a bowl, mix well and refrigerate for an hour.
  4. Just before serving, add the dressing and toss well.
  5. Serve chilled garnished with sesame seeds.
