Try this fruity variant of the traditional summer cooler, the ever-popular lassi! banana is a store-house of nutrients and energy, a must-have for kids. When combined with creamy, calcium and protein packed yoghurt, it gets even better. Made easily with readily available ingredients, the banana yoghurt shake is a quick-fix you can resort to anytime your kids feel low.

Ingredients

1 cup curds (dahi)
3 tbsp sugar
1 ripe banana , mashed
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
a pinch of grated nutmeg (jaiphal)

Method
  1. Combine all the ingredients and blend in a liquidizer till smooth.
  2. Pour into 2 glasses and serve immediately.

Tips
  1. Use chilled curds and milk for this recipe.

Healthy shake to have. Great post a bit of exercises the kids do. Also the vanilla essence does the trick as it gives that lovely flavor.
