Ingredients


For The Spaghetti
2 1/4 cups cooked spaghetti
1 1/2 tsp chopped green chillies (optional)
1 tbsp butter
salt to taste

For The Cheese Balls
200 gms paneer (cottage cheese)
2 bread slices
3 tbsp curds (dahi)
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
3 chopped green chillies
4 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1/4 tsp baking soda
salt to taste
ghee for deep frying

For The Spinach Sauce
1 1/2 cups chopped spinach (palak)
100 gms fresh cream
3 cups white sauce
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

For The Baking
5 tbsp grated processed cheese

Method
For the spaghetti

  1. Heat the butter.
  2. Add the spaghetti, green chillies and salt and cook for 1/2 minute.

For the cheese balls

  1. Soak the bread slices in the curds for 10 minutes.
  2. Crumble the paneer and knead very well.
  3. Add the soaked bread slices, coriander, green chillies, flour, soda bi-carb and salt.
  4. Mix very well and shape into small balls.
  5. Deep fry in ghee.

For the spinach sauce

  1. Steam the spinach leaves. Squeeze out the water.
  2. Mix the white sauce, cream and spinach leaves and blend in a blender.
  3. Add salt and pepper.

How to proceed

  1. Add the cooked spaghetti to the spinach sauce and mix.
  2. Spread the mixture in a greased baking dish.
  3. Arrange the cheese balls on top and sprinkle the grated cheese thereon.
  4. Bake in a hot oven at 200 degree c (400 degree f) for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Serve hot.

Just too good..It did take some time to make but totally worth the effort.I made it for dinner two days back and my family just couldno't get enough of it. A very common combinaltion of spinach and cottage cheese but in a different way. Something new.. A must try!!

Yummmy!!!! Its a fantastic dish!! the spinach with the cheese balls is a great combination! Loved the textures and vivid flavours of this complex dish.
